ABOUT Dr Niamh Rowe
Dr Niamh Rowe, Cognitive Rehabilitation Therapist qualified with a PhD in Philosophy 2015 and MEd in Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) 2007, specialising in neuro rehabilitation from University of Birmingham. Niamh also holds qualifications in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy through the University of Leicester (2008) and is accredited with the Waterford Institute of Technology for Literacy and Special Needs (2003).
She has worked in the area of neurorehabilitation since 2002, supporting the development of community-based rehabilitation post discharge from hospital through the facilitation of Cognitive Rehabilitation and Brain Injury Awareness therapy/education to individuals/their families and various service providers throughout Dublin, Meath, Louth, Mayo and the Kilkenny area. More recently, Niamh has developed and facilitated a project to develop a cognitive rehabilitation programme for stroke survivors in the Louth area. She is a member of the Society for Cognitive Rehabilitation
